    What is the cost of services?

    Consultation is free! Further pricing information will provided at the end of consultation. We will soon accept Medicaid and private insurance. We do accept self-pay payments.

    How long is the program? Will my child(ren) remain in therapy indefinitely?

    The length of the program depends on the diagnoses in some cases. Ideally, the goal is to transition out as soon as possible so that the individual can manage life successfully and independently. After the initial evaluation, a 3 month evaluation will be provided and then a 6 month evaluation. At that time, the therapist and family will discuss if services are deemed necessary to continue. In addition, the Extension Program is all year around.

    What Specific modalities will be used in the therapy sessions?

    Play therapy & CBT. Applied Behavioral Analysis strategies, role play, and restructuring of thinking skills

    What is CBT? What is play therapy?

    CBT is a modality designed to challenge the unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, improves emotional regulation, and the development of coping skills/strategies that target solving currents problems. Play Therapy is a modality that is often used with younger children in response to meeting their mental health needs. It is an effective way to communicate with the child(ren) and allow them to express themselves in a age-appropriate manner.

    Role Play - acting out a character or person to enhance social and emotional wellness, interaction with peers and communication skills

     

    Restructuring of thinking skills - strategies used to help individuals identify and challenges their negative thinking patterns
